Rendezvous with the writer in you!

The Red Megaphone is proud to announce that we're hosting our very first series of offline writing events, Redacta, in collaboration with the Shelfebook Book Festival. The best part? You don't need any special writing skills! These fun-filled activities are bound to awaken your creativity and spontaneity. Have faith, and let the reader in you take the wheel. Get ready to be amazed at how shockingly good you are at writing!

About Redacta:

"Every reader is, by default, a writer."

Redacta series of writing events are here to introduce you to the writer hiding in the folds of your brain.

Following are the events that will be a part of Redacta:

1. Story Writing Chain:

"There's something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you"

Nope, this is not your school assignment story writing! This is a group activity that involves writing a story for 2 minutes, passing yours to the person sitting to your right and continuing the story written by the person sitting on your left.

10 people

10 stories

and a whole lotta mess.

Do you need to be a creative story-writer for this activity? Absolutely not!

2. Cover Story:

Creativity is intelligence having fun!

In this activity, you'll roam around the bookstalls and pick out the book which you think has an amazing cover. You'll then be writing a flash fiction inspired by the book cover! This simple activity will then prove to you that your imagination has no bounds!

3. WTF Shakespeare:

This is your chance to get justice for book/movie/TV characters that you think deserved better. In this activity, you will write a letter ranting to the writer of the story questioning why your character was written in such an unjust manner! Upload your rant on your Instagram story and tag the writer themself!!
